Standards & safety

The horror storiesend at this door.

You've heard the stories. So have we — other clinicians send us their complications to fix. Here is exactly how this clinic is run, so you can judge us on it.

A doctor leads your care

Clinical care is led by Dr Tim Pearce MBChB (Hons) — seventeen years in practice, registered with the General Medical Council, and an international educator who teaches complication prevention and management to medical professionals. You are never treated by someone whose training is a weekend course.

Assessment before any treatment, every time

Nobody is treated on their first visit request. Your skin and health are assessed first, and treatments are only recommended where they're clinically appropriate — which sometimes means recommending nothing.

Prescriptions happen face to face

Where a treatment involves a prescription-only medicine, UK rules require a face-to-face consultation with the prescriber first — and we'd run it that way even if they didn't. The person judging whether a treatment is right for you is the person qualified and accountable for that judgement.

Adults only

It is a criminal offence in England to give cosmetic injectables to anyone under 18. We go further: we don't market to, consult with, or treat anyone under 18 for any cosmetic concern, and we may ask for ID.

If something goes wrong, you're in the right building

Every clinic should have an emergency protocol; ours is written by the people who teach the subject. Complication management is Dr Tim's specialist field, the clinic stocks the relevant emergency medicines, and you get a direct line for concerns after any treatment — not a voicemail.

Insured, documented, accountable

Every clinician working here carries full medical indemnity insurance. Consent is written, photography is consented separately, and your records are yours to see. If you're unhappy, our complaints process is published on this site and we answer it personally.

On the new national licensing scheme

England is introducing a licensing scheme for non-surgical cosmetic procedures, with the highest-risk treatments restricted to oversight by regulated healthcare professionals. We support it — it's how this clinic already runs. Our licence details will be published here the moment the scheme goes live.

Questions about safety are the right questions.

Ask them before you book — here or anywhere else. Any clinic that's uncomfortable answering them is answering them.
